Our Mission

KCDO exists as an advocate for young people to release them from their spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enable them become responsible and fulfilled Christians and adult citizens.

Our Mission Statement

To restore hope to vulnerable community of young people and improve the standards of living through organizing the community to initiate, maintain a healthy living condition, development projects, support and care to vulnerable people and proclaim evangelism.

OBJECTIVES

The organization objectives are to;

  • Improve the health conditions of young people through awareness campaigns against HIV/AIDS and proper family nutrition.
  • Provide academic freedom of young people through provision of adequate physical and emotional support to both girls and boys.
  • Identify and mitigate all forms of physical, sexual and psychological violence and other forms of abuse subjected to young people

KCDO formerly Kyamaganda Catholic Youth Organization is a faith based community based organization established in 2013 under Masaka Diocese. It is a registered organization Reg. No. CD/LDLG/734 under Lwengo District Local Government in Kyamaganda Vilage, Kisekka Sub County.

Our History

Kyamaganda Community development organization (KCDO) is a development initiative for the most vulnerable young children and youths in Uganda whose efforts haves been tailored at empowering and freeing/releasing the elite generation from their spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty.

Additionally, KCDO also undertakes advocacy and upholds the rights of the most marginalized population of girls/boys and youths regardless of their religious affiliations, political subscriptions, physical disabilities and their HIV/AIDs status.

KCDO started in 2013 and it is a fully registered entity under Lwengo District Local Government Council Reg, No. CD/CDLG/734, with its Operational offices located at Kyamaganda Village about 1 km from Kinoni town along Masaka-Mbarara highway. It is since then, that KCDO has been able to restore lives of people through continuous educational support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), participate in HIV/AIDS mitigation campaigns, embrace sustainable agricultural practices and food security and provision of clean and /or safe water.

In response to the great commission, KCDO exists as an advocate for young people to release them from their spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christians and adult citizens.
